Community Health Partnerships commissioned a study from the Community Hospital Association (CHA) to provide a profile of community hospitals in England from 1998 to 2008, demonstrating changes over the 10 year period and making suggestions for achieving regular and routine profiling of community hospitals. The report contains listings of community hospitals and case studies of a variety of facilities. The CHA has developed 4 new classifications of community hospitals, to reflect their increasing diversity.
