Impact assessment of moving ahead with electronic prescription service (release 2) and enabling completely electronic prescriptions in primary care (30th July 2008)
With prescription volumes rising at 5% per year, these are a rising and indirect cost to NHS organisations and primary care contractors. Electronic prescriptions would reduce these problems.
