HSC 2008/001: Updated national guidance on the safe administration of intrathecal chemotherapy (11th August 2008)
This circular covers the updated National Guidance on the Safe Administration of Intrathecal Chemotherapy. This updated guidance replaces HSC 2003/010. It sets out the minimum that should be expected of an NHS Trust providing an intrathecal chemotherapy service. It also sets out what to do in the exceptional circumstance where an intrathecal chemotherapy procedure needs to take place in a Trust that should not normally provide this service.
