Patient Group Directions (PGDs) (December 2008)
PGDs take a significant amount of time and resource to develop and implement. Giving careful thought and consideration to whether PGDs are the most appropriate option and the content of these PGDs at the outset can save time and will contribute to safe and timely delivery of patient care. The PGD website has developed some new tools and resources to help users give careful thought and consideration of legislation, clinical governance and medicines access using PGDs, in comparison with other available options.
Are PGDs the safest route for your service?
