Social Capital in the North East: How do we measure up? (22nd April 2008)
Measurement of social capital in the United Kingdom is still in its infancy. This report is an impressive first attempt to break down national statistics to a regional level. It tests some commonly held hypotheses about the friendliness of people in the North East and the strength of their communities, and makes some interesting comparisons between the North East and the South.
