The NHS Constitution: Government response to consultation (21st January 2009)
This document sets out the Government's response to the draft Constitution, which ran from 30 June 2008 until 17th October 2008.

The NHS Constitution for England (21st January 2009)
Subject to Parliamentary approval, all NHS bodies and private and third-sector providers supplying NHS services in England will be required by law to take account of the Constitution in their decisions and actions. The Government will have a legal duty to renew the Constitution every 10 years.
