This guidance is being issued under Section 7 of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970. The guidance is relevant to all local social services staff and requires specific actions to be taken such as identifying and keeping records on deafblind people in catchment areas.
This Circular replaces LAC(2001)8 which was cancelled on 28 February 2006.
